I'm Dan

I started my career in finance at Deloitte, which gave me a lens most communication advisors never develop.
I've spent the last 15 years helping founders and CEOs become the most credible version of themselves on camera, winning six international awards along the way.
I'm also behind the most viewed and shared ad ever made in Norway, with 5.5 billion organic impressions.

B-reel is a boutique advisory practice for founders and CEOs who are ready to become the most credible voice in their market.
We help a small number of clients at a time find their authentic voice, own their story, and show up on camera in a way that builds real authority.
Most of our clients are scale-up founders or CEOs who are compelling in a room but invisible online. They know presence matters. They just haven't found a way to make it feel like them.
That's exactly what we fix.
I've founded or co-founded more than 10 companies. Some of them won awards. Some didn't and there's a couple I'd rather not talk about.
Along the way I've built a driving school, invented a dish brush specifically for men (yes, really), and created a teleconferencing company. But the thread running through all of it has been storytelling and visual communication.
I've worked with startups and some of Norway's biggest brands. Worked with ministers, CEOs and even royals. I've made films in Hollywood, and somehow ended up creating the most watched and shared ad ever made in Norway, with a marketing budget of exactly zero.
5.5 billion organic impressions. 80 countries. No spend.
Turns out people don't share things because they're polished. They share things because they feel true.
That's the lesson I've been building on ever since.
Starting my career at one of the world's largest professional services firms taught me something most people in creative industries never learn: how business leaders actually think.
At Deloitte I worked in Audit & Advisory on the finance team, analyzing how companies create and communicate value. I learned to ask the questions that matter - not just what a business does, but why it exists, what makes it different, and how it earns trust.
That business lens never left me. It's what separates what I do from most video and communication advisors. I understand the commercial reality my clients operate in.
